China Office Intro
The University of Maryland has a long and deep relationship with China that dates to 1915 and has always been instrumental in advancing productive U.S.-China relations. This history paved the way for the collaborative efforts with China through a variety of initiatives, and one of them is establishing the Robert H. Smith School of Business China Office more than a decade ago.
In partnership with University of International Business and Economics, the Smith School has been offering the Global Leadership Executive MBA program which was ranked #7 in the U.S. by Financial Times 2015 in Beijing for the past decade. This engaging program, designed for the business leaders in China and Asia, provides innovative and practical solutions for corporations and helps their executives acquire the new skill sets needed to develop their leadership skills, especially through the executive coaching sessions. It proves to be the first choice for executives who want to ascend in their career following the successful stories of our alumni.
The Smith School China Office also offers the consultation and admission advice on the eight specialty masters programs which are delivered by our world-class faculty in College Park. They are: Master of Finance (Ranked #4 by Financial Times 2017), Master of Quantitative Finance (STEM Eligible), Master of Science in Accounting, Master of Science in Business and Management, Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Science in Information Systems, Master of Science in Marketing Analytics, Master of Science in Supply Chain Management.
Finally, with our ever-growing alumni network in China, the Smith China Office assists the Alumni Relations Department to organize various alumni workshops and networking events to engage the proud Terps in China!
