UMD China Alumni Networking Event Review
Beijing, China - On August 7th, the University of Maryland hosted its first Alumni networking event in China, which was a great success. Over 170 UMD alumni from the pioneers who graduated in the 90s to the recent graduates, attended the event in Beijing from all over China.
The event started at 6:30 pm. David Liu, the Executive Director of China Executive Education at Robert H. Smith School of Business, gave the UMD alumni a warm welcome. Gary Cohen, Associate Dean for Office of Executive Programs at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, flew to Beijing from the University of Maryland for this event and delivered an inspiring speech about the outstanding achievement that UMD alumni are making in today's world. He also announced the exciting Double Terp Scholarship the university is offering to UMD graduates to continue their education in the University of Maryland China EMBA program.
David Cheung, a China Executive MBA Program Alumnus and the current CFO at Walmart China, shared his unforgettable China Executive MBA program experience as well as how the program transformed his career.
Alumni reunited with their classmates and also made new connections with other alumni, namely the China EMBA graduates.
