University of Maryland holds "Meet the Dean" Alumni Receptions
University of Maryland's "Meet the Dean" Alumni Receptions were held successfully on Dec.8 and Dec.10 at Kempinski Hotel Beijing and J.W. Marriott Hotel Shanghai respectively. Over 160 alumni from Beijing and Shanghai came together to meet the Dean of Robert H. Smith School of Business, Dr. Alex Triantis. Gary Cohen, Associate Dean for the Office of Executive Programs, Patty Carocci, Assistant Dean of Development & Alumni Relations, and David Liu, Executive Director of China Executive Programs also joined the event.
Dean Dr. Triantis made an opening remark to welcome all the guests and extended his new year greetings to alumni on behalf of the faculty and staffs of the Smith School. He also highlighted the accomplishments of the Alumni Relations Office had made over the year and stressed that he was looking forward to seeing more UMD graduates will take the advantage of our Double Terp Scholarship to join the Smith EMBA program in Beijing.
The "Meet the Dean" Alumni Receptions are held annually to provide a great opportunity for our alumni to broad their networks and strengthen the relations with the University.
